How do I start?
Message us on WhatsApp, choose your plan and pay; then the team checks your level and places you. You usually start that same week.
What level of English do I need to join Modo Inglés?
None — you can start from zero. We run three class groups: Basic (A1–A2), Intermediate (B1–B2) and Advanced (C1), following the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). You don't need to know your level beforehand: after you pay, the team checks it and places you.
Are the classes in English or in Spanish?
In English, with native English-speaking teachers. In the Basic group the teacher keeps it simple, so you can follow from your first class.
How many students are in each class?
Five at most. That way everyone actually speaks instead of watching others speak.
How many classes a week does a plan include?
There are classes Monday to Friday, mornings and evenings (Fridays mornings only). You can join as many classes at your level as you like — the price stays the same.
What if I can't make it one day?
Nothing happens: no penalty and nothing to catch up on. There are classes every weekday, morning and evening — just join the next one.
Are the classes live or recorded?
Live and online, with native teachers and at most five people. It isn't an app or recorded content.
How much does an English course at Modo Inglés cost?
Every plan is paid month by month. With no commitment it's $900,000 COP a month, and you can cancel with 30 days' notice. The 6-month plan is $700,000 COP a month ($4,200,000 in total) and the 9-month plan is $650,000 COP a month ($5,850,000 in total). Paying the whole plan up front is optional and gives you 5% off. All prices include VAT (IVA). There is no sign-up fee.
How long does it take an adult to learn English with daily practice?
It depends on where you start and how much you practice, and it's different for everyone — so we don't promise timelines. What we do give you is live conversation practice Monday to Friday, correction in the moment and, roughly every 15 days, a session with your teacher to review your progress.
Do you offer private 1-to-1 classes?
Yes: you and a native teacher, live and online, at a time that suits you. Message us on WhatsApp or see the 1-to-1 classes. Group classes (up to 5) are our main format.
